The original text of Generative Artificial Intelligence for Small to Medium Size Organizations: A Comprehensive Strategy for On-Premises Deployment, together with the original figures, tables and diagrams the author created for it, is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International license (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). The material listed under What the license does not cover is excluded.
What you may do
You may copy and share the paper, in whole or in part, in any medium or format. Printing it, emailing it to colleagues and posting a copy on an internal site are all fine, on three conditions:
- Attribution. Credit the author, give the title and a link to this website, name the license with a link to it, and say if you made changes. Any citation below meets this condition.
- NonCommercial. Share it only for purposes that are not primarily commercial. Selling it, placing it behind a paywall, or including it in a paid product, report or course requires permission.
- NoDerivatives. Share it only as published. Translations, adaptations, summaries presented as the paper, abridged versions and edited figures or tables may not be shared without written permission.
Linking to any page of this website never needs permission. Short quotations with a citation, for commentary, criticism, teaching or research, are welcome; in the United States such uses are generally covered by fair use.
The license grants these permissions only. It does not transfer copyright and grants no rights to trademarks or to the excluded material below.
What the license does not cover
The license applies only to material the author wrote or created. It does not apply to any of the following, which remain the property of their owners and subject to their terms:
- Cited and quoted material. Quotations, excerpts, statistics, data, findings, charts, figures, tables, images and screenshots from the sources in each section’s reference list, including anything reproduced, adapted, summarized or derived from them.
- Material consulted but not cited. Documentation, reports, articles, standards, datasets, product pages and any other information or content referenced while preparing the paper or building this website.
- Trademarks. Company, product, model and project names, logos and other marks. They appear only to identify the products and services discussed.
- Reader comments. Comments belong to the people who wrote them and are published under GitHub’s Terms of Service.
- Linked and embedded content hosted on other websites.
- Third-party software, fonts and services used to build or run this website, which carry their own licenses (see Credits).
- The website itself. Its design, templates, styles and code are not part of the paper and are not offered under this license.
Facts, data and ideas are not protected by copyright, so anyone may discuss them and build on them. The license covers the way the paper expresses them.
If you are unsure whether something is excluded, ask before reusing it.
Asking for permission
Write to contact@emilioborges.com for commercial use, translations, adaptations, or any use the license does not cover. Describe the material, where and how it would appear, and who the audience is. Permission is given in writing, case by case.
For excluded material, such as a chart from a cited report, contact its owner. The reference list gives the source of each item.
